We're excited to announce our very first ever Darkside Records exclusive vinyl variant- Poughkeepsie natives Matchbook Romance's 2006 album Voices!
This is the first time the album has ever been pressed on vinyl and we're serving up the ONLY colored vinyl variant, limited to 500 copies.Ā
Matchbook Romance were founded right here in Poughkeepsie in 1997 and signed to Epitaph Records. They released a debut EP, a split 10" with Motion City Soundtrack, and two full length albums - 2003's Stories And Alibies and 2006's Voices, presented here for the first time on coke bottle clear exclusive vinyl.
In a fun bit of happenstance, Darkside's original location on Main Street was previously the band's rehearsal space. After we opened our doors in 2011, we got to trade stories with the band about the buildings creepy basement, the Poughkeepsie music scene and keeping the music alive within the walls of our space.
